Working closely with the cheesemakers... As an inderpendent Cheese shop in Whitstable, The Cheese Box is activley sourcing, encouraging and developing cheese production in Kent. A new generation of farmers in Kent are turning to Artisan Cheesemaking and they are doing a great job - with cheesemakers such as the Cheesemakers of Canterbury, Winterdale Shaw and The Kent Cheese Companyalready winning local and national awards!

We are spreading the word on these stunning cheeses and always looking for new makers to encourage. We are also lucky to be next to Sussex and Dorset where fantastic cheeses have been produced for years. The Kent Cheese Consortium' has been set up to help our Kent makers to get together, build up awareness of this relatively new industry and help connect with established cheesemakers all over the British Isles.
