Together, we at The Cheese Box have many years of experience working with the cheeses we sell and knowledge of the industry, and we happily pass on the message to customers about the wonderfull varieties of British Artisan cheeses and how they can be proud of their regional food heritage.

All our cheeses are British Cheeses and we buy direct from all of our cheesemakers so we can learn first hand how the cheese is made and what to expect with the change of the seasons and differences as the cheese evolves and matures.

Did you know there are more registered British Cheesemakers than there are French? Handmade cheese produced in the UK comes in all kinds of different styles, from soft to blue, to sheep, goats and buffalo, to smelly washed rinds, Camemberts and Brie types, oh, and of course we can't forget the classic cheddars and stilton - you name it , we do it!

Cheesemaking in Kent is evolving all the time and we work closely with the kent cheesemakers. Helping, where usefull, with ideas and getting feedback is a very important side to what we can contribute to this industry and we truly appreciate the information offered to us by experienced producers in return.

Here at The Cheese Box we find our customers come in to experience quality and knowledge of such a specialist product. They love to hear about how and where the cheeses are made, history of the cheese and how to serve and keep them.
